Brrrr...It's Cold In Here...
Beginning this Saturday, the Queen Mary will be hosting CHILL, a holiday-themed event that will feature an Ice Kingdom, ice skating, and tubing until January 6. The Ice Kingdom will feature 13,000-square-feet of walk-through ice carvings ranging in size from 8-feet to 24-feet tall! The entire exhibit is made up of about 4,500 blocks of ice, weighing a total of 2 million pounds. The exhibit has to be kept at 9 degrees so visitors are each given a special parka to wear. CHILL will also feature a 6,500 square-foot outdoor ice skating rink and a 100-foot-long elevated tubing slide. A holiday village with themed retail and food and beverages will also be on-site. Additionally, Santa will be in the village to take pictures with children, along with a gingerbread craft area and live entertainment. The holiday village is free to enter, but there will be individual tickets sold for the Ice Kingdom, ice-skating rink, and tubing.
