2017 Year of the Rooster

2017 Year of the Rooster

The curtains have finally opened up at the Psychic Temple building on Broadway in down town Long Beach. An amazing handcrafted design by Qing Nian Tang is proudly suspended in the front window for all to admire. The beautiful installation is made of glass marble fillings, LED light strips and is motion sensitive. It is designed to change colors as people walk by. “Since this year is the year of the rooster, we wanted to make the installation bright,” Tang told the Post.

The week-long celebration of the Lunar New Year begins this Saturday January 28. 2017 marks the year of the Rooster on the Chinese zodiac calendar. The Rooster represents hard work, diligence and always being the first one to wake.
